Why We Built This Site
Connecticut offers several public record routes, but New Haven County has no operating county government, sheriff, or county jail. Municipal police keep their own reports. The Connecticut Judicial Branch holds Superior Court dockets, SPBI supplies statewide conviction-history products, and Connecticut DOC maintains state custody information. We organize the verified contacts, fees, portal links, and request steps for those separate custodians.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Connecticut court, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file erasure petitions, records requests, or other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or address remains current
Only the issuing police agency, court, SPBI, or other official custodian can provide an official copy. We identify the route, but the document must come from that office.
